General Information

Western's instructional program is served with over 3,000 videotapes. The Center for Instructional Technology provides catalogs of current holdings upon request and assists faculty members in finding titles. Films and videos may be previewed at the Center during office hours. For classroom use, simply fill out a Video/Film Request form. The staff of the Center will assist faculty members in obtaining rental films and video tapes from sources outside the University. Faculty may also request videos for Purchase. Materials purchased through the Center for Instructional Technology are maintained in the University Video Library.

The Center's hours of operation are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The Center also provides duplication services for both audio and video.

Equipment

The Center for Instructional Technology provides a variety of equipment to faculty members for classroom use. Upon filling out a request form, equipment may be a picked up at the Center, located in Tate Page Hall, room 101. You may also request deliveries to your departmental office. Each classroom building has an equipment room containing a 16mm projector and one or more VHS VTRs and television. The staff of the Center will also provide orientation in the use of equipment to faculty members upon request. VHS Camcorders and LCD panels and LCD projectors are available for faculty checkout.

The Center for Instructional Technology can also assist any department in need of Media Equipment Repair.
